ATTENTION: These new system LED patterns only apply when using the latest bootloader version. If upgrading from an EdgeOS version before v1.10.6, a second reboot is needed to allow the new bootloader to become active.

As of EdgeOS firmware version v1.10.6, the device status LEDs have been improved to provide a more clearly defined state of the device. See the tables below for the description and meaning of the different system and port LED patterns.

The table below applies to the following EdgeRouter models:

  • ER-4
  • ER-6P
  • ER-12
  • ER-12P
  • ER-10X

Power On Reset

 

 Hold reset button for 10 seconds while plugging in the power cord to perform a Factory Reset Port LEDs light up in sequence
Hold reset button for more than 10 seconds while plugging in the power cord to start TFTP recovery Port LEDs alternate off/on

Runtime Reset 

 Hold reset button for 10 seconds while device is powered on to perform a Factory Reset Last port LED lights up
