Table of Contents
The UISP CRM Pricing Mode
The pricing mode enables users to define prices with or without taxes. For example, when you need to show the final price with tax included to your clients, you will use Tax Inclusive pricing. Then, you will provide all prices as tax inclusive value. The net price shown on invoice will be deducted automatically afterward.
Changing the Pricing Mode
If you switch from one pricing mode to another, you may need to manually edit prices of all existing service plans, services (with individual price), surcharges and/or products which you have defined before. If you have been using a custom invoice template, you may need to update it according to the new pricing mode that you switched to.
Follow the steps below to change the pricing mode:
1. Navigate to the CRM > System > Billing section.
2. Set the pricing mode option to either Tax exclusive or Tax inclusive and save the changes. See the section below for more information.
Tax Exclusive
Prices of all services, products, etc. are considered without any taxes. Taxes are calculated on top of this price. This option implies the following:
- You are enabled to add up to 3 taxes on each item.
- Invoices are simple, each item has just label, price, quantity, and total.
- Taxes are not rounded on each invoice item, only the total for each tax is rounded.
Tax Inclusive
Prices of all services, products, etc. are considered including tax. On an invoice, the taxed amount will be computed and subtracted from the given gross price. This option implies the following as well:
- You can only set one tax for each item.
- If any client or service has multiple taxes, the second and third tax will be removed.
- Invoices contain more columns for each item with tax related details, such as untaxed amount, tax rate, taxed amount.
- Taxed amount is rounded per each invoice item separately.
- You can use the Decimal places for tax coefficient option.
Decimal Places for Tax Coefficient
The tax coefficient option may be used only for Tax Inclusive pricing. It is used to calculate the taxed amount and consequently, the net price from the given gross price.
For example, for 21% tax, the coefficient is 21 ÷ (100 + 21) = 0.173553719 = 0.1736 with the tax coefficient decimal place set to 4.
You may need to round the tax coefficient by defining decimal place count. You may also leave this option blank, then no rounding will be applied to the coefficient. However, be advised that you may need to set up this option according to the legislative requirements in your country.
